Audio Recording
Audio podcast recording in Manchester.
Broadcast-quality audio on RØDE PodMics through a RØDECaster Pro II — a separate track for every voice, up to 4 guests, from £69.99/hr +VAT. Book online, walk in, press record.
Why It Matters
Listeners forgive bad video. Never bad audio.
Audio quality is the one thing a podcast can't recover from. A brilliant conversation recorded on laptop mics, in an echoey room, over a patchy video call — listeners switch off in seconds, and no amount of editing brings it back. Recording in a proper podcast studio fixes the problem at the source.
At our studio on Bury New Road, a few minutes from Manchester city centre, every seat gets a RØDE PodMic — the broadcast-dynamic microphone built specifically for spoken word — on a proper boom arm, running into a RØDECaster Pro II. Levels are set, processing is handled, and every voice records to its own separate track, so one interrupting guest or one quiet speaker never ruins the whole recording.
Record up to 4 people around the table. Run the session yourself with dry hire, or add a dedicated engineer who monitors audio live and catches problems while they can still be fixed — not after you get home.

Who Records Here
Every kind of show.
Interview shows and one-to-ones sit two guests across the table with a microphone each. Panel formats and roundtables use all four seats — each voice on its own track, so crosstalk stops being an editing nightmare. Solo shows get a quiet, consistent room and a repeatable setup, which is exactly what makes weekly publishing sustainable.
It's not just podcasters. Businesses use the studio to record internal shows, audio content and interviews without buying and learning equipment that only gets used once a month. If you record regularly, our bulk hourly bundles cut the rate to as low as £64.99 per hour with priority booking.
Planning to film as well? Cameras are included in every session — see the video podcast studio page. Or compare all options on studio hire.

FAQs
Recording questions.
How much does it cost to record a podcast in Manchester?
Dry studio hire is £69.99 per hour +VAT with the full audio setup included. Studio + Professional, where an engineer runs the session, is £94.99 per hour, and a full day (up to 8 hours with engineer) is £599. Bulk hourly bundles bring the rate down to £64.99 per hour.
What microphones do you use?
Every seat gets a RØDE PodMic — a broadcast-quality dynamic microphone designed specifically for podcast speech — mounted on a RØDE boom arm and running through a RØDECaster Pro II.
Does every speaker get their own track?
Yes. We record multitrack, so each microphone captures to its own separate track. That means one quiet guest, one loud laugh or two people talking over each other can be fixed in the edit without touching anyone else's audio.
Do I need any technical experience?
No. With dry hire, everything is set up and tested before you arrive — you just sit down and talk. If you'd rather have zero involvement in the technical side, Studio + Professional includes an engineer who monitors the audio throughout.
How many people can record at once?
Up to 4 people, each with their own microphone and their own track.
What files do I get after the session?
The raw multitrack recordings — yours to keep, with no usage restrictions. Storage is free for the first 48 hours after recording, then £30 per episode for up to 2 months.
Can you edit my podcast for me?
Yes. Standard editing (£75 per episode) covers cuts, audio syncing and basic corrections with 2 revisions; Advanced (£130) and Premium (£175) add enhancement, intros and outros, reels and captions.
Can I record video at the same time?
Yes — Sony A7C II 4K cameras and professional lighting are part of every session at no extra charge, so you can capture video now and decide later whether to use it.
Can I bring my own microphone or equipment?
You're welcome to — the RØDECaster Pro II takes standard XLR inputs. Most guests find the in-house PodMics cover everything they need.
Where are you, and when can I record?
First Floor, Unit 7, 116-118 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB — minutes from the city centre. Open 9am–6pm, seven days a week, weekends included.
